Sandro's First 32 Years
His Imperial Highness
Prince Alexander Georgievich Romanovsky, Duke of Leuchtenberg, saw the
light at St.Petersburg on November 13th, 1881 n.st.
The baby was born in an epoch when the 1852 Ukase of Emperor Nicholas
I regulating the status of the descendants of his eldest daughter was
still in force in its original formulation.
And so, little Alexander was styled Imperial Highness, since his birth.
When part of the Imperial Family statute was modified with the creation
of the titles of prince and princess, with the styling of Highness or
Serene Highness, for great grandchildren of the sovereign and their
issue, little Alexander was exceptionally granted the privilege of remaining
an Imperial Highness.........................
